The USA Chapter of AMMPE the Association of Women Journalists and Writers (AMMPE) was created in January 2022 as the USA-Canada Chapter. In November 2022, the two countries separated and our Chapter remains as the USA Chapter of AMMPE based in the Washington DC area and will operate from this location. The board has begun the work of establishing the chapter and getting it up and running. The mission is to bring together women journalists and writers from the United States and Canada who wish to further women's participation in the workplace and strengthen their empowerment through the media or various forms of communication. The Chapter seeks to organize programs and events centered on gender related issues and themes that further our empowerment as journalists and writers. Chapter members will undoubtedly attract new professional opportunities, and inspire and strengthen our members as journalists and writers. Chapter members also have the opportunity to travel as a group of USA-AMMPE to various Congresses around the world.

Today, the chapter thrives as a dynamic network of over 150 active professionals spanning the media, journalism, broadcasting, and literature sectors. AMMPE Taiwan has hosted the prestigious AMMPE World Congress three times, demonstrating its prominent standing in the global community.
